Malaysia is popular with the political issue. Sometime I think as Malaysian, feel so embarrass with the non healthy political issues that involves almost all the main leaders whether Barisan Nasional or alternative components. We claimed we are sort of Islamic country, but what is happening right now?

Saya sokong Dr Mahathir, at least with regards to his statement that Muslims should project the correct perception of Islam to gain respect from the non-Muslims instead of shouting and screaming that non-Muslims must respect Islam while threatening to murder all those who do not show respect to Islam.

Muslims Need To Project Actual Islamic Way Of Life To Gain Respect - Dr Mahathir

SHAH ALAM, June 24 (Bernama) -- Muslims should play an important role in projecting the actual Islamic way of life to the world so that the religion would be respected by the other communities.

Former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said by projecting the positive traits and fairness of the religion, "I am certain it will at least reduce opposition to the religion or fear among the non-Muslims against Muslims and Islam."

"To the extent that we are regarded as terrorists who kill without mercy . We are accused of many things. As a result, we are attacked and oppressed. This is the fate of Muslims currently," he said at the ground-breaking ceremony for the Malaysian Islamic Welfare Organisation Complex (Perkim) building for Selangor costing RM30 million, here today.

Dr Mahathir, who is also Perkim national president, said Muslims should always correct themselves so that they become successful people in the present world and hereafter.

For the Muslims in the country, who form the majority of the Malaysian population, they should implement and determine the system of administration according to the actual Islamic teachings which would bring justice and prosperity to everyone, he said.

Dr Mahathir said if the country's administration did not provide justice to everyone as required by Islam, and denied the rights of others and oppressed them, it would give a bad impression on Islam.

Dr Mahathir said Muslims in the country must be united and avoid factionalism or enmity between one another. The Selangor Perkim Complex would be built on a 0.56-hectare site and would comprise two blocks with a main hall, office space, shop lots, surau, library, seminar rooms, lecture halls, hostel and a kitchen.

Actually, we all can see and realize what majority people all over the world,mainly in Malaysia think of Islam? What we did actually reflect who we are and so how come we can expect and gain the respect from everyone? Don't look far, just in Malaysia. I can say most of the Malays are Muslim, even by the name only.

And for sure the majority of Malaysians are Muslims. And the majority of government leaders and civil servants are Muslims as well. And most of the incidences of abuse of power and corruption are perpetuated by the Muslims in the government and civil service. The social issues are not included yet, maybe this will be a very long post if I need to list down all the negative one. For example abandonment,sexual and drug addict.

It is easy how we want to demonstrate how to be a good Muslim. We don't have to be genius (IQ above 140) to figure it out. Don't make people laugh at us. It is so annoying when people get laugh at you.
Please stop corruption. Stop abuse of power. Stop fraud and cheating.Stop doing this nonsense in every aspect.

Then about the BERSIH's march on 9th July 2001, if I am not mistaken it is the correct Islamic thing to do. But,in my opinion the organizer has the hidden agendas. They want the current government leaders, BN components back off so that kononnya rakyat will have a second choice to vote for them, the PKR and DAP. Yeah, you claim to have a clean election and bla bla bla. But when you guys did the BERSIH's march before the 2008 public election and won 5 states, then you keep quiet. Like you agree that there was no corruption in the public election. I cannot imagine what will happen if BN components won the majority? Maybe second darurat in Malaysia after 13 May 1969.

I don't know deep about the Islamic politic. For me, if the march will be organized at the appropriate location, does not matter at all. For me the bad consequences from the march not only effect 1 side, but will involve everyone at that location. Just think twice.The riot and killing might happen. Who knows when the fanatic groups are uncontrolled by the authorities?

Just sharing my opinion. Keep it simple silence (KISS) in here, not the other kiss keep it simple stupid.
